As Secretary of the Galashiels Golf Club may I invite you to come and play our new 9 hole golf course commencing from March 1st 2008. We have downsized and over the next few years we hope to make some radical changes to the new layout.
Here you will find the information you require to spend a day golfing on a challenging course with some beautiful scenery, overlooking the historic Border Town of Galashiels.
The course was designed by James Braid who also designed Carnoustie and Gleneagles amongst many other courses. You will be sure of a friendly welcome as we are very happy to see visitors at our golf course.

We are centrally situated in the Borders being only 30 miles from Edinburgh and 40 miles from the East coast and all the border towns are within 25 miles for anyone wanting to include sight seeing in their visit. Three miles from Gala is the historic stately home of the late Sir Walter Scott the famous novelist and Melrose Abbey is only just one mile further. Edinburgh of course is thirty miles north on the A7 and is also steeped in history and the nearest airport to us.
